Digital Connect – Ingenuity’s brand new event

Ingenuity will be hosting a brand new event in London – Digital Connect on 12th September. The event will focus on the three cornerstones of the modern digital landscape – Creative, Tech and Media.

We’re thrilled to announce Hannah Anderson as the headline speaker for our new event series, Digital Connect, taking place on the 12th of September at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.

Hannah Anderson is Co-Founder and Director of Social and Creative at Media Chain (part of Social Chain Group) and was named one of the 25 most influential women in the UK by Vogue. At Digital Connect, she will share her experiences of building engaged, social-first communities that have attracted more than 80 million followers, as well as founding an agency that has grown to over 260 employees, with offices in New York, London and Berlin.

Anderson said: “I’m really looking forward to Ingenuity Connect. Events like these help drive our industry forward. I’ve been working on our talk for months now and feel it will help change how marketers approach social in 2019.”

Pip Jamieson, Founder at no-collar network The Dots, will also be appearing, hosting a panel of five industry gurus to discuss diversity and inclusion, digital transformation and whether a great strategy can beat cutting-edge technology. Pip is a Sunday Times Top 100 Entrepreneur, while her start-up, The Dots, was labelled by Forbes as “the next LinkedIn.”

“Diversity is better for business. It’s better for creativity. It’s better for innovation. So, it’s critically important we build teams that reflect society, because if we’re all the same, how can we think differently? That’s why I’m so excited about doing this talk – if we work together things can really start to change,” said Jamieson.

Alex Meisl, Co-Founder at greyhairworks, will lead the lunchtime keynote, curating a session of scale-ups which will help brands get better insight,  drive engagement and embrace technology for the right reasons.

“I can’t wait for the event to take place. It gives us the chance to share some great solution providers with the audience, in order to help them gain insight and engage better with their customers,” added Meisl.

Our new Digital Connect series aims to enhance our matchmaking events model, in which agencies pitch to and ‘speed date’, by providing a full day of networking, meetings and speaker sessions. The event will provide a unique and powerful platform for brands to find potential suppliers who can make a real difference to their marketing goals.

Digital Connect will feature 60 of the UK’s most senior brand-side marketers and 60 leading digital marketing suppliers and agencies. Our events team will manage all scheduling, selections and meetings for the brands. Each meeting will last 20 minutes, allowing brand marketers to quickly gain a feel for who could help crack their toughest marketing challenges.

As part of our expanding events portfolio, Digital Connect will create a new business platform that allows agencies and brands to come together and develop lasting relationships. With three breakout speaker sessions, the event will also provide valuable insights for brands and agencies alike.

Rachel Langton, our Head of Connect, said: “I’m so excited to get the first Digital Connect event off the ground. With some of the UK’s leading brands and agencies in attendance, it will create a meeting place for diversity, thought and talent. Our fantastic roster of keynote speakers only bolsters this and I can’t wait to carry the success of this event forward into the future.”
